There are several types of natural beverages consumed worldwide, Some of them of Green Tea, Black Tea, White tea, Oolong tea. these types of tea aren't newly discovered but have been in use for drinking and for other purposes too. Since this blog is about green tea so we'll talk about the side effects of drinking green tea. everything that comes with benefits has its own set of disadvantages and green tea has some too. apart from side effects of green tea it has numerous amount of positive effects as mentioned in earlier post. The Side effects of green tea are mentioned below:
1. Liver Disease - Green tea extracts have been known to make liver disease worse. Green tea extract have been known to give birth to some cases of liver damage.
2. High blood pressure - Caffeine level in green tea depends on what type of green tea it is. over consumption of green tea will increase level of caffeine and will result in increase of Blood pressure. It has been noticed that people who regularly consume normal levels of caffeine don't encounter this problem.
3. Heart conditions - Caffeine in Green tea can cause irregular heartbeat in sensitive people and consumption of green tea shall be with caution.
4. Anemia - People suffering from anemia should avoid all sort of Teas including green tea because it blocks iron. Green tea contains a substance called tannin which prohibits absorption of iron from the food that we consume.
5. Weaker Bones - Some amount of calcium gets flushed out in urine and drinking green tea can increase this amount of calcium that gets flushed. caffeine level per day should be limited to less than 300 Mg per day. To make up for the loss of calcium, some calcium supplements can be used.
6. Pregnancy - Consuming green tea in smaller amounts while being pregnant or breast feeding is possibly safe ( Consult doctor first ). Acceptable and healthy way is drinking 1 cup a day ( 200 mg of caffeine ). CONSUMING MORE AMOUNT OF GREEN TEA OFTEN LEADS TO MISCARRIAGE AND OTHER MISHAPPENINGS DURING PREGNANCY.

Suggested Serving : Too much Green tea should not be drank as excess of something is never good. 5 Cups or more consumed daily is is the excess serving of green tea. So, it's advisable to consume about 1-2 cups daily or just 1 if any negative change is noticed in body as described above.
